DMEM是 dulbecco's modified eagle medium的缩写,是一种含各种氨基酸和葡萄糖的培养基,是在MEM培养基的基础上研制的。与MEM比较增加了各种成分用量,同时又分为高糖型(低于4500mg/L)和低糖型(低于1000mg/L)。高糖型有利于细胞停泊于一个位置生长,适于生长较快、附着较困难肿瘤细胞等。所以其特点主要包括以下:
 
(1)氨基酸含量为依格尔培养基的2倍,且含有非必需氨基酸,如甘氨酸等;
(2)维生素含量为依格尔培养基的4倍;
(3)含有糖酵解途径中的重要物质——丙酮酸;
(4)含有微量的铁离子.Eagle来自该培养基的发明人Harry Eagle
 
1640和DMEM培养基的区别
 
在组分和用途上有区别,主要是组分上的区别,查各自的配方表可知。用途上这两种应用都很广泛,且都适合很多种细胞的培养。
RPMI 1640主要用于悬浮细胞培养。可适用于哺乳动物、特殊造血细胞、正常或恶性增生的白细胞,杂交瘤细胞的培养。其它像K-562、HL-60、IM-9等成淋巴细胞、T细胞淋巴瘤细胞以及HCT-15上皮细胞等均可参考使用。
DMEM适用于贴壁细胞生长,如各种实体瘤贴壁细胞。

The composition of DMEM medium
DMEM is the abbreviation of dulbecco's modified Eagle medium. It is a medium containing various amino acids and glucose. It is developed on the basis of MEM medium. Compared with MEM, the amount of various ingredients was increased, and it was also divided into high glucose (less than 4500mg/L) and low sugar type (less than 1000mg/L). The difference between 1640 and DMEM medium
1640 there is a difference between the medium and the DMEM medium in terms of components and uses, mainly on the difference between components. These two kinds of media are widely used and are suitable for the cultivation of many kinds of cells.
RPMI 1640 is mainly used for suspension cell culture. It can be used for the culture of hybridoma cells in mammals, hematopoietic cells, normal or malignant hyperplasia. Other cells such as K-562, HL-60, IM-9 and other lymphoblastic cells, T cell lymphoma cells and HCT-15 epithelial cells can be used for reference.
DMEM is suitable for adherent cell growth, such as various solid tumor adherent cells.

pyridoxine hydrochloride培养基中起什么作用)吡哆醇盐酸盐:本品是机体内很多酶如转氨基酶、脱羧酶、消旋酶、脱氢酶、合成酶和羟化酶等的辅酶,且可帮助糖类和蛋白质的分解、利用。缺乏时有类似烟酸的缺乏症。此外维生素B6还参与色氨酸将烟酸转化为5-羟色胺的反应。并可刺激白细胞的生长,是形成血红蛋白所需要的物质。
